Simon Says: April Showers Bring May Flowers on the Monday Challenge

newchallenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Try To Resist Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS

With spring most definitely on the way, despite the snow and ice in some areas, we are celebrating the start of the new season with changes in the weather! Spring showers or flowers, or you can use both on your creations! We will be looking forward to seeing what you make!

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

Spring is definitely in the air and the flowers in my garden are in full bloom ;-)

I painted the pages of a Small Creative Journal with Gesso before blending with Tumbled GlassMowed Lawn and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks

I then had a lot of fun creating a background using a Hero Arts Rainy Day and Tim Holtz Wildflowers Stamps. I also used a Dot Fade Stencil and White Embossing Paste, sprinkled with Glitter.

I then added a field of beautiful Wildflowers, coloured with Distress Crayons. If you haven't tried art journalling before I would definitely recommend you give it a try! It really is FUN!

So now it's YOUR turn, Happy Crafting

If you use instagram add  #sssmchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too!

Your flowers are awesome Lorraine, our little balcony is still without any flowers/plants but I can't wait to plant some new flowers!
Your art journal page is awesome, love to see how you made the background and the small raindrops!!

Gorgeous project and such a bonus to see your real-life flowers, too! My garden doesn't look anything like that, but one can dream! On your artwork, I thought it was brilliant to do your flower silhouettes in lovely pastels. SO clever and the end result is stunning!
