Wild and Crazy Birthday :-)

Hi all :-) I am here with the 3rd card from the 1st day of the Watercolour for Cardmakers Online Card Class. This one uses the emboss resist technique shown by Kristina Werner. I couldn't find Amy's watercolor paints so I used Distress Ink Pads instead. I have found them now so I may be back later with another effort :-)

I love how this turned out ! I heat embossed the background stamp Awith clear powder and then ironed it off as I preferred a matt finish. The original sentiment stamp is quite big and I really didn't want to hide so much of the background so I just chopped it down and used parts of it.

When using watercolours the paper does tend to warp, a tip to combat this is to cut a piece of card slightly smaller than the watercolor panel and adhere this to the back with Helmar Quick Dry Adhesive, this creates a cardboard like strength and reduces the need to use lots of pop dots.

Thanks for looking ! The classes are a lot of fun and it isn't too late to join in if you would like to :-)
