Snowman Blueprint

Happy Tuesday !! and that means a new theme starts today over on the Papertake Weekly Challenge ! and guess what ! Our very own Dawny aka TV Superstar is busy demo'ing on the Create and Craft Channel ! Don't forget to tune in at 11am UK time !

As a coincidence Dawny will be promoting the Lili of the Valley who are sponsoring this challenge ! Woo Hoo !!

As it’s the first one of the month we have our usual
Anything Goes
theme with the optional extra to make a Christmas Card/Creation

But remember this is only an option and if you don’t want to use this theme then you don’t have to. The main thing is to let loose your creative stuff and make a card that pleases YOU :)
As our regulars will know, the first challenge of the month is sponsored by the lovely Lisa & Laila over at
And they have given us a …
… to give to one lucky winner. Woo Hoo !! :-)

I have just bought this new Tim Holtz Snowman Blueprint stamp and die set and couldn't wait to give it a whirl :-)

I have to say I just LOVE this and I think the Simon's Exclusive tree works alongside it perfectly :-) I used a new Curved Edge Border die Falling Snow stencil also  Simon's Exclusive's  I love using the embossing paste with this stencil, gives such a soft snowy look :) The bucket was cut on the Silhouette out of adhesive tape and sprinkled with Glitter Ritz ,,, I meant to add a little bow but forgot before taking the piccy and it's raining and dull now so I can't re take :-/ It does look lovely with a little red sparkly bow tho :-)

Thanks for looking and for leaving me comments, I do love to read them so PLEASE leave one before rushing off :-)

Tim Holtz Christmas Blueprints ,,,

Hi all :-) I recently bought a whole load of Tim Holtz products ,,, oooh I love these blueprint designs and the distress glitter ,,, yum ! :-)

When I saw the theme on the Less Is More Challenge using a black background with a splash of colour I thought I would try something using some gilding flakes for extra sparkle :-)
The gilding flakes I bought are called Winter Dawn and it doesn't have as much colour in it as I thought,, mainly silver, but there is some bronze, green and gold too which doesn't show up very well in the piccy ,,, It really is gorgeous and sparkly IRL.

I stamped the image with versamark and sprinkled with Judikins sticky stuff, heat set, smothered with gilding flakes, then brushed off the excess. I then used Pan Pastels for the chalkboard effect. To add a little extra colour I added a few metallic sequins.

I made this one using white embossing powder and can't decide which I like the best ,,,, but I am leaning towards the gilded one as it really is so sparkly IRL :-)

Thanks for looking :-) I appreciate your comments so please leave me one :-)
