Less Is More ,,, 3 shades of green :-)

Good morning/afternoon/evening all, depending on where you live :-) I hope you’re all enjoying the Easter weekend and are planning a big family get together over a yummy Sunday lunch :-)

My kids are grown ups now so no easter eggs ,, instead we have HUGE bars of my fave chocolate ,,, Cadbury’s ,,, YUM ! !

I am trying to join in with the lovely Limettes over on the less Is More Challenges as often as possible and when I saw the challenge this morning an idea immediately sprang to mind using my fab Pear stamp !! Could I find it !!!! NOOOO !! so onto plan ‘B’ :-

I have had this gorgeous Hero Arts Wildflower garden stamp for ages and it has never been inked !! shame eh !! So I thought I would try to make a watercolour look alike ,,, being useless at actually watercolouring !! :-)

I inked the stamp using the 3 green pens in a foliage markers pack, spritzed the stamp with pearl glimmer mist and stamped onto watercolour paper. I then topped up the colours here and there with a waterbrush. I added some vintage tape, a punched butterfly and a few Hero Hues green pearls to finish. The sentiment is from a Unity stamps set.

I then thought, as I was on an inky adventure ,, to get out my distress inks too and make a tag using the other stamp in the set ( I had used this one before ,,, once ,, :-))

I stamped the flower using versamark ink and embossed with white EP. I then used Shabby Shutters, Forrest Moss and Pine Needles inks to colour the background. I then stamped a couple of flourishes, sprayed the whole thing with pearl glimmer mist and then used a TH butterflies stamp and the sentiment stamp. To finish I used some fab flowery ribbon, some of the vintage tape and some black twine :-)

Thanks for looking :-) I appreciate your comments so please leave me one :-)
