Feathered and/or Furry Christmas :-)

Hi again :-) I am back with another post ,, this is a reminder that you still have a week to join us on the ABC Christmas Challenge :-) ,, my Christmas Card box is filling up nicely !! :-)

We are sponsored by Lili of the Valley and Bugaboo Stamps so please see the challenge blog for more details :-)

I used this very cute Partridge Tree image from Bugaboo. stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with my new Distress Markers and distress inks. I only have 6 markers but they are gorgeous and now NEED the whole set !! :-) The papers are from a Memory Box Yuletide pack and I inked all the edges with Vintage Photo. The flowers are made using Nellie Snellen Stamp and Emboss sets and a Martha Stewart frond leaf punch. I finished with some ribbon, glossy accents on the pears and Robins Nest Dew Drops in the centre of the flowers, the sentiment came with the stamp.

This is my first time making a card for the mid way reminder and Samantha hung these in the DT blog for me, ,,,, hehe Open-mouthed smile

Thanks for looking :-) I hope you all join in and just think,.. no last min panicking in December !!

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !! For fabulous tutorials, inspiration and candy you should keep an eye on the Simon Says Stamp Blog too

We are showcasing products from My Favorite Things this week :-) as always, you don't have to use them but if you do have some then we would love to see them :-)

It is Laurel's last week in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say what a pleasure it has been having you along with us Laurel :-) Thank You so very much for all of your wonderful creations :-) xx

I saw this fabulous teapot template designed by Deneen on the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge last week and thought it would be perfect to use with my images this week ! Thanks Deneen xx Also Janette had made it into an easel card so I thought I would CASE that idea :-)

After I had started I was beginning to regret it,, it took me AGES ! but I persevered and got there in the end, and it was fun ,,, :-)

After cutting out the shapes from basic white card and papers from Kaiser Crafts I inked the edges with Victorian Velvet and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. I stamped the cute MFT Tea for Two image 3 times onto Neenah cardstock using Memento ink and coloured with Copics,

I then layered the cup and the little bunny bum with pop dots and added a little Polar White Flower soft on his cotton tail :-) I cut out the circles with Spellbinders dies and inked those edges too. I used a Heart Swirl die and made 3 roses using the Mini Rolled roses dies,

TIP,I used watercolour paper to make these, inked with distress inks, sprayed with water and then scrunched before rolling, I find them much easier to make this way and more malleable :-)

I used a Martha Stewart Lace border punch and a real doily underneath. The tag was made using a MFT stamp from an Always Time for Tea Die-Namics set and I added some Hemptique twine.

For the lid insert I stamped the ‘steam’ with versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder before inking with the distress inks, I then stamped the sentiment and cut out the teapot using the dies in the set. I added glossy accents and lots of glitter to the top and a bit of lace, inked with Vintage Photo, to finish :-)

Thanks for looking :-) Laurel and the DT have made some gorgeous creations for you to see so hop on over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge to see them Smile
